Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our team on a fully remote, consultant basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex data environments, is comfortable working with large and imperfect datasets, and can translate financial data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling, analysis, and reporting across strategic planning cycles, rolling forecasts, and compensation planning.
- Perform comprehensive full P&L analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work with large, complex datasets, including those with missing or inconsistent data, ensuring accuracy through validation, cleansing, and reconciliation techniques.
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Support the development and execution of long-range strategic plans.
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and data integrity practices.
- Proven experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and full P&L ownership.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).
- Demonstrated ability to work with large, messy datasets and apply sound judgment to resolve data quality issues.
- Experience with financial systems such as Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to stakeholders.
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a fully remote environment.
- Background supporting strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance functions.
- Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
