About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Enterprise Software/Cloud Technology, is looking for a skilled Sr. Project Manager (x2) to join their team for a 7-month engagement. This project involves managing complex consulting engagements (up to $1M in revenue) focusing on large-scale Data Center modernization, Hybrid Cloud, and IT transformation projects. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, coordinate, track, and manage project(s) from initiation to close-out to mutually agreed upon scope, schedule, and financial parameters (project profitability).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including charter, scope, budget, resource plans, and risk assessment, management, and mitigation plans.
- Serve as the single point of contact for the project, providing clear and timely communication regarding status, progress, and risks to relevant stakeholders and sponsors.
- Provide technical thought leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to the customer and internal teams, providing value beyond simply managing the administrative aspects of the project.
- Ensure adherence to the defined project management methodology and stage gate process.
- Direct and monitor work efforts daily, identify resource needs, and perform quality review.
- Work with account teams and Services Sales to identify/drive account growth opportunities.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5+ years of technical project management experience, preferably as a Professional Services consultant.
- Deep technical knowledge of large-scale Data Center (DC) modernization, IT transformation, Hybrid cloud, and Intra/Inter DC Virtual Machine (VM) migration projects, infrastructure, and Operations.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in customer-facing positions as a professional services consultant or engineer, preferably with a Technology or “Big 5” consulting organization.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
