Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Range: $60/hr – $65/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Hybrid - Foster City, CA
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in hardware or manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Supply Chain Cost Program Manager to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves being the primary architect of cost data integrity for the Direct Procurement team, leading the transition from manual tracking to a scalable, systems-driven approach. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cost Data Governance: Maintain 100% data integrity for all Direct Procurement costs, including unit pricing, tooling, Capex, and ED&D/NRE, ensuring the ERP and offline tools reflect real-time pricing.
- BOM Cost PMO: Orchestrate the monthly Bill of Materials (BOM) cost update process, reviewing all approved changes, identifying pending approvals, and flagging key financial risks.
- BOM Structure & Cost Integrity: Analyze complex multi-level BOM structures (parent-child, directed-buy, consigned) to accurately roll up product costs.
- Systems Transformation: Define requirements and lead the selection/implementation of advanced cost-management tools and systems to replace existing manual processes.
- Variance Analysis & Inquiries: Act as the first point of contact for Budget Owners, Manufacturing, and Logistics regarding cost variances and resolve discrepancies independently.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in supply chain cost management, procurement operations, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within a hardware or manufacturing environment.
- Deep expertise in Cost Data Governance and defining requirements for and implementing supply chain or financial software tools. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
- Experience with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (Pivot tables, Index/Match, Query) and interpreting complex datasets.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and partner strategically with Sourcing, Finance, and Operations.
