Title:  Technical Program Manager
Job Type:  Contract
Contract Length:  6 months
Target Start Date:  ASAP
Work Location/Structure:  Hybrid -  Foster City & Hayward, CA

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the Autonomous Vehicle industry, is looking for a skilled  Technical Program Manager  to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves tracking key supplier quality metrics and driving the development and continuous improvement of critical supplier quality and readiness applications (such as APQP and PPAP) across a Global Supply Chain. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product road maps, timelines, dashboards, and deliverables.
  • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of business applications related to Deviations, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
  • Develop, track, and report on key quality metrics to identify systemic issues, measure supplier performance, and drive data-informed improvements.
  • Develop project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, and clearly communicate ongoing progress to relevant stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively mitigated.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to ensure project priorities are coordinated and on track.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 8-10 years of experience in program management or a similar role.
  • Deep expertise in quality systems & methods, supply chain management, and manufacturing. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and data analytic skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
  • BS degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree.
