About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the biotechnology industry, is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join their Legal department for a 6-month engagement. This role will serve as a key operations and legal enablement partner, managing the contract lifecycle and system optimization. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-starter who can work autonomously to develop scalable solutions, streamline processes, and ensure legal compliance as the company accelerates its business operations.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including distributing requests, assigning agreements, and coordinating drafts and execution for CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and consulting/vendor agreements.
- System Administration: Serve as the subject matter expert for the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, administering workflows, configuring templates, and generating performance reports and dashboards.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement strategies to increase contract velocity and reduce risk, ensuring scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with legal, procurement, compliance, and finance teams to align on contract policies, approval workflows, and documentation practices.
- Stakeholder Training: Train business stakeholders on contracting standards, template usage, and system navigation.
- Performance Tracking: Partner with legal leadership to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), risk mitigation, and audit readiness.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5+ years of contract administration or legal operations experience.
- Proven expertise with CLM platforms (e.g., Conga CLM), including configuration, optimization, and reporting functions.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles, privacy, compliance, and pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory considerations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute independently.
- Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., IACCM, CLM, legal operations) preferred.
