Start Date:  ASAP
Location:  Remote

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the biotechnology industry, is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join their Legal department for a 6-month engagement. This role will serve as a key operations and legal enablement partner, managing the contract lifecycle and system optimization. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-starter who can work autonomously to develop scalable solutions, streamline processes, and ensure legal compliance as the company accelerates its business operations.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including distributing requests, assigning agreements, and coordinating drafts and execution for CDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and consulting/vendor agreements.
  • System Administration: Serve as the subject matter expert for the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, administering workflows, configuring templates, and generating performance reports and dashboards.
  • Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement strategies to increase contract velocity and reduce risk, ensuring scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with legal, procurement, compliance, and finance teams to align on contract policies, approval workflows, and documentation practices.
  • Stakeholder Training: Train business stakeholders on contracting standards, template usage, and system navigation.
  • Performance Tracking: Partner with legal leadership to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), risk mitigation, and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 3–5+ years of contract administration or legal operations experience.
  • Proven expertise with CLM platforms (e.g., Conga CLM), including configuration, optimization, and reporting functions.
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles, privacy, compliance, and pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory considerations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute independently.
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., IACCM, CLM, legal operations) preferred.
