Title:  Test Engineer - RiderDash, Concierge, and CoreDash
Job Type:  Contract
Contract Length:  6+ months
Pay Range:  $35-36/hr
Start Date:  ASAP
Location:  Onsite – Foster City, CA

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the Technology/Software Industry, is looking for a skilled Test Engineer - RiderDash, Concierge, and CoreDash  to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves focusing on manual and automation testing for mission-critical web-applications (RiderDash, Concierge, and CoreDash), including manual release validation and vehicle mission testing, while contributing to Playwright-based automated test cases. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Automation Development: Develop, maintain, and expand Playwright automation test cases to enhance regression coverage and test efficiency.
  • Manual Validation: Perform manual testing for RiderDash, Concierge, and CoreDash feature releases, hotfixes, and pre-merge validations.
  • Vehicle Testing: Conduct vehicle mission testing and provide detailed reporting and analysis on mission outcomes.
  • Defect Management: Support triage and assist in identifying, reproducing, and verifying defects across environments (Dev, Staging, and Production).
  • Quality Assurance: Provide QA sign-off for release readiness and ensure all validation activities meet defined quality standards.
  • Documentation: Document test results, maintain traceability to requirements, and track issues to closure.
Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer with proven skills in testing large-scale complex applications.
  • Deep expertise in testing tools like JIRA and TestRail. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Experience with manual release validation and defect verification across multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Production).
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and collaborate with developers, QA leads, and product managers.
  • Bonus: Experience with Playwright automation, and/or TypeScript or JavaScript.
- W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
