About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in Electric Vehicle, Cell, and Energy Products, is looking for a skilled Interface PCBA Validation Engineer to join their Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team. This project involves supporting the validation of Interface PCBA boards for Automated Manufacturing tester systems that will be deployed across the world for the production of their vehicle, cell, and energy products. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
- Validating Interface PCBA's from suppliers through comprehensive bench testing, stepping through all low-voltage (LV) circuits to high-voltage (HV) circuits.
- Using available debugging tools to troubleshoot and fix any issues found during PCBA validation.
- Documenting all steps and debugging experiences to ensure knowledge transfer across MTE teams.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and document solutions for any component or soldering-related board failures.
- Traveling to various Contract Manufacturer (CM) locations, including sites in Guadalajara, Querétaro, Monterrey, Juárez, and Chihuahua, to provide on-site support and resolve issues.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in test automation or data analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C, or C++.
- Proficiency in utilizing Linux, Shell, or Bash to develop and maintain automated test scripts and support tools for test execution and data processing.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD models, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or wiring diagrams for testing or troubleshooting.
- Experience conducting mechanical, thermal, or electrical testing at the component, subsystem, or system level, analyzing test results, and preparing engineering reports or validation summaries.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and validation procedures, applying methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE) or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Knowledge of communication interfaces for testing and debugging, including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, or UART.
- Exposure to high-voltage and/or low-voltage electrical systems in a test/validation environment, and the ability to apply digital and/or electrical circuit fundamentals.
- Precision soldering and rework of surface-mount (SMD) components on PCBs as part of test setup, repair, and validation activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
